PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Chinese rhubarb, a perennial herb originating from Central Asia, offers dual benefits depending on its dosage. In small amounts, it acts as an antidiarrheal. Conversely, in higher concentrations, it effectively addresses varying degrees of constipation. This laxative effect is attributed to anthraquinone compounds, which, upon reaching the large intestine, inhibit water and electrolyte reabsorption while stimulating intestinal peristalsis within 8-12 hours. Furthermore, a dry extract combined with salicidic acid can be used topically to relieve inflammation and infections of the oral mucosa.
